Post 4: Election Day

Hi, in today post I´m going to talk about voting. The first time I was enabled to vote was in 2017, my generation that time didn’t care about voting and probably now a lot of them regret not going to vote. I belive that these elections are going to be different. The next presidential election I’m going to vote because I think it’s important to participate, even if I don’t like the candidates define for the election.

Now, the topic about electoral campaings in my opinion are a sensitive theme. I really believe that the campaings are necessary, campaings are important and can change the tack of elections. An example is the campaing of 1988 with Yes/ No, the campaing of No was amaizing and helped a lot of people decide their vote. The problem is in nowdays electoral campaigns, I really belive that campaings of these days are so superficial, confusing and it don’t have the basic of a good campaing. The last campaing election for the plebiscite of Reject/ Approve wasn’t the best. The campaings were so diverse, and that’s maybe a problem because the political groups didn’t align and made only one campaing for block, that the campaings showed different visions even inside the same sides, so it was confused to understand what was the objective. The visual style, the songs and all the basic of a campaing weren’t clear and even there. I don’t remember all the campaings or a slogan. On the contrary, in the campaing of Yes/No everyone remembers the logo of No, you only needed to think about No and the song campaing reproduces automatically on your mind. So these days campaings, in my opinion, are bad and doesn’t have impact on people. Actually, I don’t remember seeing any electoral campaing in my district.

Well, the next topic of this post about qualities that a person should have for a public position. Obviously, all the persons who think about a running for a public position needs to be transparent; charisma is also something very important, and I belive that every person should have the ability of to listen to all the sides but a the same time need to be steady, these way they can make a decision. I actually believe, it’s kind of a feel, but I think the next president of this country needs to be a woman, it’s just a feeling and it’s not even based in political sides or anything but I got the sense that a woman could be perfect and what is needed for the next 4 years and all the important processes that are coming.

And thinking about the last subject, I would never even consider becoming a politician, I don’t have what is needed to be a politician, I don’t like dealing with people, it makes me a little nervous confrotations or be public it’s definitly not my thing. So no, I would never became a politician.
